Knicks owner was mad Steve Kerr did background check on him – led to Kerr spurning Knicks

New York Knicks owner James Dolan apparently is the reason Steve Kerr decided against coaching the Knicks despite verbally giving his agreement to president Phil Jackson. According to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, Kerr was doing his due diligence on checking up on the Knicks owner and when the news got back to James Dolan, it apparently irked him enough to interfere with...

Carmelo on tanking: I don't know how to have that mindset

Even if the best case scenario for the New York Knicks is to lose as many games as possible down the stretch (unintentionally, of course) in the team’s already-lost season, Carmelo Anthony stated that it isn’t in his nature to lose simply for the sake of losing. Following the team’s 98-91 win over the similarly...Read More The post Carmelo Anthony on tanking: ‘I don’t...

Carmelo Anthony rips Knicks fans

With the New York Knicks win over the Philadelphia 76ers tonight, it gave them an opportunity for their first three-game win streak of the season. Not bad 43 games in, eh? Anyway, the 7-36 Knicks have had a season from hell. And despite winning their last two games, the New York brass has constructed the roster on the fly with the intention of tanking the remaining 39 games. This...

Baron Davis’ Drew League Documentary Is Using Crowdfunding Campaign For Release

I was lucky enough to see an early screening of Baron Davis’ documentary he has been working on called ‘The Drew: No Excuse, Just Produce’ and I can honestly say it was fantastic. It’s time for Carmelo Anthony to shut it down

There are officially 40 games remaining on the 2014-15 New York Knicks schedule. Allow me to reiterate: there are 40 games left on this nightmarish, abysmal, apocalyptic season for Carmelo Anthony and company. See, for Melo it’s not all bad. On gamedays and off-days, despite the sweeping tsunami of boos and lectures from Derek Fisher, at the end of the day Melo goes home to LaLa...

Pelicans Throw Pity Party For Knicks, Allow Them To Finally Win A Game

So, uh, the New York Knicks won today, officially ending their 16-game losing streak and bumping their season win total to a whopping six (or, as I like to call it “Still Two Fewer Wins Than The 76ers”). Don’t get too excited, because their opponent (New Orleans) was playing without its best player — a Article found on: Next Impulse Sports

New York Knicks: new year, more hope

The New York Knicks are officially the worst team in the NBA. I honestly do not know how I feel about this.  Partially I think it shows how good Tyson Chandler was for the Knicks even though his numbers didn’t reflect it.  The other thing is it shows how hard it is to be good.  Everyone knew coming in to this season the New York Knicks would be mediocre but mediocrity is not...

ESPN is dumping Knicks games from their NBA schedule

Before the season began, the New York Knicks were scheduled to make an ungodly 23 appearances on national television.  NBA teams play 82 games in a season.  Now, I haven’t really put my math degree to use very much in my blogging career, but my desktop calculator suggests that’s more than 25% of Knicks games being shown to a national audience.  That’s a lot!
