How’s that for an enticing headline? Don’t worry, the story gets better. You see, the ejected players were Kalin Lucas and Jarnell Stokes, who also happen to be teammates on the Iowa Energy — the Memphis Grizzlies’ D-League affiliate. Photo: NBDLShortly after being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies, former Louisville star Russ Smith was sent to Memphis’ NBDL affiliate, the Iowa Energy. It didn’t take Smith very long at all to get acclimate with his new team.
Since joining the Energy just a little over a week ago, Smith has been playing well. He finished with 30-points in a win on Tuesday and posterized a defender...
In case you weren’t watching the Memphis Grizzlies-Dallas Mavericks game yesterday, Memphis guard Tony Allen wasn’t playing due to an injury.
Despite being on the Memphis Grizzlies bench, Allen was still harms way when an errant pass intended for Courtney Lee hit him in the head.

Below was Allen’s response on his Twitter...
Former Michigan State point guard Kalin Lucas, and Jarnell Stokes, a power forward from Tennessee, were apparently both ejected Tuesday night from a NBA Development League game.
The oddity is that Lucas and Stokes are now teammates for the Iowa Energy, who were in the middle of a team huddle when the fracas broke out during a timeout with 2:29 remaining in the third quarter.
Jarnell Stokes and Kalin Lucas, teammates on the Iowa Energy, were ejected during a D-League game on Tuesday for fighting with each other.
While the cause of the fight is unknown, punches were thrown after they started pushing each other.
Teammates and coaches tried to separate both players.
Stokes has played in 16 NBA games this season for the Memphis Grizzlies.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- If Jeff Green has been busy reading any of the over-reactive, over-delving, over-punctuated musings about himself, he's not letting on to it.
Sitting in his locker following Monday night's mostly ho-hum win over the Orlando Magic, Green almost scarily watched as a crowd of media gathered toward him. It was a less-Egyptians-toward-Leonidas and more-cavemen-toward...
Marc Gasol has been a very pleasant surprise for the Memphis Grizzlies this season, and is an All-Star big man. The Grizzlies wouldn’t be nearly the team that they are without him on the team, and they depend on him for a large load of the scoring.
It will be very intriguing to see how the Grizzlies move forward this season, and whether or not they can end up being legitimate...

On this day, 38 years ago, an NBA legend was born. A legend that would stun the eyes of everyone watching. A man that could fly through the air, putting the Wright Brothers to shame. From reverse 360-windmill dunks to leaping over 7-foot centers, Vince Carter has been the opposite of ordinary. So on this very special day I give to you some of the top plays from the career of the...

Remember Michael Beasley? You now, the guy who played with the Heat and was picked No. 2 overall in the 2008 draft?
Well, he resurfaced and is playing overseas in the Chinese Basketball Association and recently was named the MVP of the CBA All-Star game after dropping 59 points in the win.
Nothing like a game where absolutely no defense is played for Beasley to shine.
According to a variety of sources, it seems Tayshaun Prince may actually play for the Celts. We officially have our first true highlight of Jeff Green in a Memphis Grizzlies uniform.
Green was limited to 10 points Wednesday in a nondescript Grizzlies debut after being traded from the Boston Celtics, and he failed to make a field goal in the first half of Friday’s meeting with the Orlando Magic.
Good Jeff Green showed up in the third quarter, though, as the ex-Celtic...
Is Jeff Green the key piece that the Grizzlies were missing?
Ever since being drafted back in 2007, Jeff Green has been one of the most underrated players in the NBA and could make for a great glue player on a contending team. Unfortunately for Green, he’s spent the last several seasons on a Celtics team that has been trading almost all their assets for future picks. Due to this...

In April of 2013, Kevin Durant came out and told us all how he hated being number two. Regarded as the second best player in basketball, he was drafted second overall in 2007, had just finished second in the 2012-13 MVP voting to LeBron, was on the team regarded as second best in the West next to the Spurs, was runner up in the 2012 finals, it went on and on. KD came out last year...

If you’ve watched the Memphis Grizzlies at all this season, it’s easy to see how tight-knight a group they are. The Grit ‘N’ Grind style isn’t as sexy as the the more free flowing offenses of their Western Conference counterparts, but it gets the job done. The Grizz are now 21-4 having come off impressive
