VIKINGS RUMORS & GOSSIP

Vikings Who Need To Make An Impact In 2014 No. 5 Xavier Rhodes

#5 | Xavier Rhodes Number 5 on the list goes to cornerback Xavier Rhodes.  Rhodes overcame a tough start to his rookie season to finish arguably as the Vikings top cornerback.  Early in the year he was often flagged for pass interference as he was too physical in coverage.  As the season progressed, Rhodes’ technique was much more refined and he started seeing less laundry...

Adrian Peterson praises versatile Minnesota Vikings offense

Adrian Peterson has played with some great hand-off quarterbacks for the Vikings since entering the league in 2007: Tarvaris Jackson, Kelly Holcomb, Brooks Bollinger, Gus Frerotte, Joe Webb, Christian Ponder, et al. Minnesota's milquetoast collection of signal-callers -- minus Brett Favre's unworldly 2009 campaign -- constantly have led the generational running back to eight...

What will Greg Jennings bring to the Vikings in 2014?

The Minnesota Vikings signed former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings before the start of last season, and were hoping that he would be an immediate impact in turning their passing game around. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to do the type of things that they were hoping, but did come through with a decent season. Minnesota’s main issue is that they haven’t had a...

Peterson won't play much in preseason but 'excited' about Vikings' new offense

MANKATO, Minn. -- Adrian Peterson has proven he doesn't need much of a dry run to be ready for the NFL season and he likely won't get much of one this season as he adapts to a new offense with coordinator Norv Turner. Peterson, who missed the preseason in 2012 following reconstructive knee surgery, went on to win the MVP award that season and rush for the second-most yards...

#6 | Middle Linebacker Number 6 on the list goes to an entire position once again and that is Middle Linebacker. Vikings Who Need to Make an Impact in 2014 #7 Sharrif Floyd

#7 | Sharrif Floyd Number 7 on the list goes to defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd. When Floyd slipped all the way to pick 23 in the 2013 NFL Draft, it was looked as an all-out gift for the Vikings and my howls could probably be heard for miles. But during his rookie year he played sparingly behind Kevin Williams and Letroy Guion, and even when he did see the field he was inconsistent...
