The Edmonton Oilers have had a trying year as a team and almost every player has been dealing with sub-par results up to this point. Now that the Oilers have gone 5-2 in their last seven games, we are starting to see a glimpse of the team they were expected to be, but what can be expected for the remainder of the year?
The Oilers have been having an epic year thus far — epically...
Looks like the hit Bryzgalov took may be a bit more serious than the Oilers initially hoped:

Edmonton Oilers prospect Darnell Nurse will not get the opportunity that he and the NHL club had hoped would be available to him when they sent him back to the OHL. Team Canada has released its selection camp roster here and Darnell Nurse is nowhere to be found on it. No doubt both he and the Oilers will be very disappointed by this news.
One of the main experiences that Edmonton...

At the 2010 Draft the Oilers made a choice that most dont regret but at the time was the center of probably the most divisive debate that the Oiler fanbase had ever seen. Most were sided firmly with Taylor Hall but a vocal minority were pushing for the Oil to take Center Tyler Seguin. Edmonton took Hall and hasnt looked back since, but the Taylor/Tyler matchup hasnt happened enough...

Hilarity ensued when Hemsky tried to get up and skate with a missing skate blade, which is basically impossible to do. Hemsky is lucky the only thing that broke was his skate with how he went into the boards.

At this stage, 65 games into his NHL career, Edmonton Oilers defenceman Justin Schultz is no Erik Karlsson or P.K. Subban — he’s not yet the young swashbuckling blueliner the Ottawa Senators or the Montreal Canadiens enjoy in those two, respectively.
Oilers fans have hoped for that from Schultz, whom the Oilers signed as a prized free agent in the summer of 2012, but he’s...
I am not going to say that I know all there is to know about hockey. Heck, I am sure I no little compared to most and by no means an insider or a news breaker.
