Roma players thanked Udinese fans on Thursday, remembering how they had reacted to Evan Ndicka’s health scare on April 14.

Roma beat Udinese 2-1 on Thursday in a rescheduled match from Week 32 which had been abandoned at minute 72 following Ndicka’s collapse.

The two teams met again on Thursday to play the remaining 18 minutes plus add ons and Roma eventually secured a 2-1 victory thanks to a late Bryan Cristante goal. The Giallorossi celebrated with their fans and showed gratitude to Udinese supporters after the final whistle.

As reported by Il Corriere dello Sport, Roma players went under Udinese’s Curva, giving a round of applause to home supporters, remembering their behaviour following Ndicka’s collapse.

The whole crowd, in fact, muted as soon as the Roma doctor entered the pitch to take the defender’s pulse, fearing that his collapse was due to a heart condition.

Subsequent checks undergone by the Ivory Coast international ruled out heart problems, and the 24-year-old recently received the green light to return to action.
