Italy international Guglielmo Vicario could not hide his happiness following Tottenham’s win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday so he sang and danced ‘arm in arm’ with his teammate Timo Werner.

Football London describes Vicario’s reaction to Spurs’ win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday which helped the North Londoners move into the top four in the Premier League.

It was inspired by Micky van de Ven’s first goal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and was widely celebrated by the fans and his teammates, especially Vicario and Werner.

Tottenham’s correspondent for Football London, Alasdair Gold, said Van de Ven “Was serenaded by the entire stadium singing his chant as he walked around the pitch. Two of his friends within the team, Timo Werner and goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, both watched on, arm in arm, singing along and dancing to the chant while waiting for him to catch up with them.”

Vicario seems on very good terms with both Van de Ven and Werner who commented on the goalkeeper’s Instagram post after the game on Sunday using the same Italian word.

The Italy international has had a tremendous impact in North London despite keeping just seven clean sheets in 33 matches across all competitions.

His social media posts are filled with comments from enthusiastic Spurs fans who saw their idol make his senior Italy debut last month in a 2-0 win over Ecuador. Vicario had never played at any level for Italy’s national team before.
