Manchester City have had a historic season as they won the Champions League for the first time in their history whilst also completing the treble.

One of their most important players during the success was Ilkay Gundogan with his double in the FA Cup final against local rivals Manchester United emphasising that however the German international seems to be on his way out of City this summer.

It has been common knowledge for a while that his contract is up and that there had been no further discussions about extending that deal at City.

Now he has another offer on the table which may tempt him to leave City even more.

Reportedly Gundogan now has a massive offer from Saudi Arabia to go and join their league as they try to tempt many big name footballers to globalise their league.

The former Borussia Dortmund man also has a verbal agreement with La Liga Champions Barcelona and at just 32-yeas-old there is no doubt that he will believe has more years left playing at the highest level in Europe.

Manchester City want him to sign a new deal but seem resigned to losing him due to the fact they have lined up the signing of Matteo Kovacic for the new season.

Saudi Arabia are going to push hard for Gundogan who does want to end his career in the Middle East but right now it appears to be unlikely.
