Newcastle midfielder Lewis Miley insists a European finish isn't beyond them.

Newcastle meet Nottingham Forest later today.

Miley told ChronicleLive: "The Luton game last week was probably one of the craziest games I have ever played in to be honest. What it did show is what type of character we have here, to come back from 4-2 down and at least get a draw.

"Maybe we could have even won it.

"When Bruno hit that ball across the box you never know but we showed we had good character. That fighting spirit bodes well for us I'd say. It's good for us because in games against Forest (on Boxing Day), we didn't come back but we have shown we can now."

CWith 15 games to go, Miley still thinks Europe is within in their grasp: "I don't really look at the Premier League table too much but what I do know is it's very close. If we keep going forward and trying to get three points each week, we have a chance to push for that strong finish."
