Tuttosport newspaper reiterates that Milan will sell Mike Maignan this summer if he fails to sign a contract extension and reports Giorgi Mamardashvili is emerging as a solid candidate to replace the the France international.

Milan will be looking for a new goalkeeper this summer if Maignan doesn’t sign a contract extension, reports Tuttosport.

‘MagicMike’ and the Rossoneri have yet to reach an agreement, and the Serie A giants will consider offers in the region of €70-80m if Maignan refuses to commit his future to the club beyond 2026.

According to Tuttosport, a possible replacement for Maignan is 23-year-old Valencia goalkeeper Mamardashvili.

The Georgia international is valued at €40m-50m and despite the interest from some Premier League clubs, Maignan’s sale would give the Rossoneri enough financial resources to sign the promising goalkeeper.

According to the report, the 23-year-old is becoming increasingly popular among Milan directors and scouts and is seen as a solid potential replacement for Maignan.

Mamardashvili isn’t Milan’s only target for replacing Maigian, given that the Rossoneri have also monitored Monza’s Michele Di Gregorio.
