Exclusive claims Pochettino will have showdown talks with Chelsea player on arrival

Mauricio Pochettino has yet to even arrived in his role as Chelsea manager, yet we are seeing all sorts about his plans and what he has already said and done!

It’s hardly a secret that Chelsea have faced a struggle to get midfielder Mason Mount to sign a contract extension and if he has not signed it by the end of the season, then it looks likely he could be sold by the club. This is all very well-known.

And today, an exclusive from Football Insider claims Pochettino is set to sit down with midfield star Mason Mount in an attempt to persuade him to extend his contract.

The report claims that those with knowledge of the 24-year-old’s situation have revealed that Pochettino “would love” to keep the England international at Stamford Bridge.

I mean, it’s not exactly ‘exclusive’ news is it? It’s been very clear for weeks now that Pochettino wants Mount to stay and will be speaking to him about it!
