Ex-Arsenal chief Gazidis driving St Etienne takeover

Former AC Milan and Arsenal chief Ivan Gazidis is eyeing a takeover of St Etienne.

ASSE are currently battling to earn promotion from Ligue 2 and are up for sale.

L'Equipe says Gazidis has been appointed president of Kilmer Sports Venture. And he is leading the ASSE takeover project led by a Canadian-American-Chinese fund.

Behind the scenes, Frenchman Michal Benabou is also be on board to buy ASSE.
