Barcelona trip explained for father of Man City striker Haaland

The father of Manchester City striker Erling Haaland's visit to Barcelona has been explained.

Haaland's agent has been in Spain, possibly to talk to Barca.

The Spanish La Liga giants are not eager to sign him in the coming summer, it has transpired.

They are more interested in securing Haaland in the summer of 2025, when Robert Lewandowski will leave.

His father, Alf-Inge, was in Barcelona on Wednesday and reporter Guillem Balague explained: "Erling Haaland's father is in Barcelona because a co-worker has a daughter who plays for Brann, which is playing in the Champions League quarter-finals against Barcelona tonight."
