Sharks unveil new uniforms for 2022-2023 season, including an all-teal look

Chris Creamer of sportslogos.net dug into some of the changes after the Sharks' new uniforms leaked on social media before the official announcement. 

Some bolder changes to the Sharks' look include ditching black helmets and pants. 

The Sharks will wear white jerseys, helmets, and socks at home with a new addition, teal pants. Meanwhile, San Jose's away kit will feature an all-teal look from head to toe.

Creamer also pointed out the return of San Jose's shark-fin shoulder patch logo, which hasn't been a part of their jerseys since 2007. 

This offseason has been one of change for the Sharks. Not only did the Sharks hire former player Mike Grier as the first black general manager in the NHL, but they also brought on a new head coach in David Quinn.  

"There are a lot of things that have changed here, so no better time to switch (the uniforms) out too," Sharks forward Timo Meier told The Athletic. "Kind of bring in some new energy. I'm excited. It's a little adjustment at first. I was shocked at first when I walked into the locker room and saw all the teal, the helmets. They are nice. Excited to see them in action."
