Senators Secure Goaltending with Joonas Korpisalo’s 5-Year Deal

After being traded to the Kings at the trade deadline, Korpisalo excelled with a 7-3-1 record, a 2.13 goals-against average, and a .921 save percentage in 11 starts. Although the Kings were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, Korpisalo maintained a .892 save percentage and a 3.77 goals-against average in the postseason.

The Senators Badly Needed to Secure Their Goaltending

The Finnish goaltender’s performance caught the attention of the Senators, who sought to strengthen their goaltending depth. Korpisalo’s addition brings stability and skill to the team’s crease. His career stats of a 3.01 goals-against average and a .904 save percentage in 221 games demonstrate his ability to make crucial saves and provide consistency between the pipes.
