NHL playoff bets: Point props for Tuesday's two games

We've had a nice postseason here on hockey for the most part, and I'm finding the steadiest bet has been point props, as in a player to record either a goal or an assist. With that in mind, let's navigate through the two NHL games tonight and find a few bets in that market; there's some strong value available tonight.

Dawson Mercer point (+114 CZR)

I considered Dawson Mercer before Game 3, as after New Jersey shuffled its lines up, he found himself on a forward line consisting of Jack Hughes and Timo Meier. I ultimately stayed off, as the Devils hadn't given me much reason to trust them in the series, and what do you know, Mercer tallied three assists.

Considering New Jersey is likely to keep these same lines given their 8-4 win, I'm now confident to give Mercer a look tonight. If you'd like to take a chance on some real value, his assist prop is listed at +215. He has just five total shot attempts through three games against Carolina, so I do expect his point to come in that form, but I'd rather play it safe, and when playing it safe is still plus-money, I'll live.

Jesper Fast point (+160 CZR) & Jordan Martinook point (+170 CZR)

I'm combining Carolina's Jesper Fast and Jordan Martinook into one writeup here, as they both skate on the same line, they're both producing, and their prices are too good to pass up.

This second line for the Canes has been humming, as has the first, but when you break down prices, there's some significant value in the trio of Jordan Martinook, Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Jesper Fast.

Martinook and Fast both have a point in all three games this series against New Jersey. Martinook has six points (two in each game), and Fast has four. They also are both leading their team in expected goals this series, so the production isn't feeling too fluky to me.

This is a high-risk, high-reward type betting approach, loading up two guys on the same line. If the line is silenced tonight, these likely both lose. On the flip side, one goal could conceivably cash two plays north of +160 in one go. I've been deploying a more correlated and risky betting approach this postseason, and I find the highs outweigh the lows.

If you wanted to diversify, feel free to go back to Friday's darling here: Stefan Noesen, who is also plus-money, or Seth Jarvis, another top-line member producing frequently with a solid price to keep it rolling tonight.

Jordan Eberle point (+103 CZR)

Well, I'm jumping on the Seattle wagon tonight for the first time this series. If they wanted to fall flat and help solidify my Dallas Stars Stanley Cup future at +1400, I think I could survive.

However, what the Kraken are doing can no longer be ignored or discredited. They won Game 3 emphatically, taking down Dallas 7-2 at home. They've now scored 5+ goals against the Stars in three of their last four meetings, and they've averaged 3.75 goals per game in their four home playoff games this year.

Eberle is on the top line, so to get his point so reasonably priced feels like something I have to bet. He has four points this series and has a point in four straight vs. Dallas and five of six meetings this season.

He's recorded a point in three of the four home playoff games for Seattle, so load me up some Eberle tonight.
