NHL odds: Will the Sharks get their first win on Tuesday vs. Flyers?

Take it from someone who covers the team: The San Jose Sharks 2023-24 season is downright baffling, and yet simultaneously impossible to look away from.

What does that mean if you like to bet on hockey and want to put some money down on a Sharks game?

Despite being the first team since the '65 Boston Bruins to give up 10 goals in back-to-back games , the show must go on and they must get back out on the ice and keep trying to get into the win column. That fight continues on Tuesday when Team Teal hosts the Philadelphia Flyers.

Here are what the odds look like for Tuesday's tilt, and whether the Sharks have a chance of snapping their historic skid.

Over at OddsShark -- no relation to the team --San Jose is a +200 underdog on the money line to win against Philly at home on Tuesday. If those odds seem reasonable for a team that is 0-10-1 on the season, it's probably because the Flyers have lost three of their last four games and are coming off being blown out by the Los Angeles Kings 5-0.

But as USA Today points out, that still gives the Sharks just a 38% chance of winning on Tuesday. So while a $100 bet on San Jose would turn into $200 if they win, the chances still aren't high that you would walk away with more money than you started with.

And you wouldn't be the only one shying away from putting money on the team from Silicon Valley. According to Fox Sports, 93% of bets placed on Tuesday's game are on Philadelphia.

Puck drop for Sharks vs. Flyers -- should you bet on this game or simply choose to tune in -- is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET.
