Nazem Kadri selected to represent the Calgary Flames at the 2023 NHL All-Star Game

During his tenure with the Colorado Avalanche, Kadri skated at the 2022 NHL All-Star Game in Las Vegas as the “Last Man In” selection for the Central Division. He went on to win the Stanley Cup with the Avalanche later that year.

After the NHL announced the news of Kadri’s All-Star selection, the Flames shared a video on Twitter of Brendan Parker interviewing the veteran forward.

“It’s an honour to represent us as a team and the Calgary fans,” Kadri told Parker. “Very excited about it.

“It was nice to go last year to get some experience,” Kadri continued. “I think it’s pretty loose and casual and an opportunity to meet tons of great guys and great players from around the league. I think it’s a great event that the NHL hosts.”

The NHL announced one representative from each of its 32 member teams on Thursday evening. Fans will have the ability to select three more players from each of the league’s four divisions to attend the event in Florida.

A pair of former Flames will be attending the event, and you can probably guess which ones: Johnny Gaudreau (Columbus Blue Jackets) and Matthew Tkachuk (Florida Panthers).
