Jarome Iginla, Marian Hossa, Kim St-Pierre headline 2020 Hockey Hall of Fame class

Right wingers Jarome Iginla, Marian Hossa and goaltender Kim St-Pierre headline the 2020 Hockey Hall of Fame induction class announced on Wednesday.

Iginla and Hossa earned induction in their first year of eligibility.

Executive Ken Holland, defenseman Kevin Lowe and defenseman Doug Wilson will also all be immortalized in Toronto.

Iginla was named to four All-Star squads, led the NHL in points for the 2001-02 season and twice led the league in goals (2001-02, 2003-04, tied with two others). In 2009, he earned the Mark Messier Leadership Award.

Hossa retired a three-time Stanley Cup champion.

St-Pierre guided Canada to three Olympic gold-medal performances. According to the CBC, she's the first female goaltender inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame and the eighth female overall.

The 18-member selection committee voted remotely because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. It's not known if a ceremony will occur at the Hall of Fame later this year.
