Vegas Golden Knights general manager Kelly McCrimmon was a busy man on Sunday, as he announced that the team signed three players in Brayden McNabb, Michael Amadio, and Logan Thompson to contract extensions.

McNabb, 31, was given a three-year extension with an average annual value (AAV) of $2.85 million. He has been with the Golden Knights since day one, being selected in the expansion draft from the L.A. Kings. He has played in 314 games as a Golden Knight, registering 13 goals and 57 points. While he isn’t flashy, he has been an effective player for this team since day one, and has been once again in 2021-22, averaging over 19 minutes of ice time per game.

Amadio, 25, is getting a new contract after being claimed off of waivers by the Golden Knights early this season from the Toronto Maple Leafs. His extension is a two-year deal that will carry an AAV of $762,500. It is a nice story for a depth guy who has played well during his time in Vegas with four goals and seven points through 25 games.

Last but not least is Thompson, who signed a three-year extension that has an AAV of $766,667. The 24-year-old has spent some time on the Golden Knights roster this season when needed, and was able to make his first ever NHL start in early January. He has been outstanding in the American Hockey League the past two seasons and has a shot to develop into a regular NHL netminder in future years.
