The Edmonton Oilers made a pair of roster moves Wednesday assigning Tyson Barrie off the injured reserve and assigning Slater Koekkoek to the Bakersfield Condors.

Barrie has been out of the lineup since Jan. 20 after suffering an upper-body injury. He’s appeared in 35 games with the Oilers this year scoring three goals and 17 points.

He will draw in on the Oilers third pairing alongside William Lagesson Wednesday night against the Caps.

Koekkoek, meanwhile, was placed on waivers Tuesday. He has appeared in 19 games this year scoring four points. Between November and December, Koekkoek had missed a month after suffering a lower-body injury.

Koekkoek had finished his check on Evegeny Svechnikov near the benches but fell awkwardly and his leg got twisted up. While he was forced to miss a month of action, he had played in eight games since then scoring three points.
