Will the Ravens trade back in the draft?

Will the Ravens trade back in the 2023 NFL Draft?

The Ravens' five draft picks are the fewest they have had since 1999 when they had four. Will Baltimore trade back in order to obtain more in the 2023 NFL Draft?

It's certainly a possibility and general manager Eric DeCosta said he'd "love to have more picks."

DeCosta's comment could just be a general statement. Who wouldn't want more picks?

However, two of the Ravens' top needs are receiver and cornerback. Both are positions that are plentiful in this year's draft.

NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah even said "the difference between pick 12 and pick 40 is not much ... get to that point, and it's just preference."

Baltimore is scheduled to pick starting at No. 22. If the team feels it can move back and get a player of similar quality, why not get more picks?

The Ravens' other four selections span across rounds three to six from No. 86 to No. 199.

If Baltimore does give QB Lamar Jackson the big payday he wants, its rookies will be even more important as the team will have less money to spend in free agency.

The Ravens have a lot of big decisions to make this offseason that will greatly impact their future and it continues this week at the NFL Combine.
