Who's rising, falling, surprising in latest NFL mock drafts?

And then there were two.

With the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers set to face off in Super Bowl LVIII, 30 teams know their draft position.

From now until the 2024 NFL Draft on April 25 in Detroit, the "experts" will release mock drafts on an almost-weekly basis.

This is your one-stop shop for the latest predictions, including the first five in the first round, players rising and falling and surprise picks and potential trades.

The experts highlighted this week are ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr., CBS Sports' Josh Edwards and Pro Football Network's Tony Catalina.

Pick No. 1 (Chicago Bears)

Mel Kiper Jr., Josh Edwards, Tony Catalina: USC QB Caleb Williams

Barring any significant developments, Williams will hear his named called first. The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner threw for 8,170 yards, 72 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions from 2022-23. The Bears could trade out of the No. 1 pick and stick with QB Justin Fields, but here they opt to start fresh with Williams, who "is in a tier of his own," according to Edwards.

Pick No. 2 (Washington Commanders)

Mel Kiper Jr., Josh Edwards, Tony Catalina: LSU QB Jayden Daniels

With Williams likely gone after the first pick, the Commanders will have the difficult decision of picking between UNC's Drake Maye and LSU's Jayden Daniels. This week the "experts" believe Washington will draft the 2023 Heisman Trophy winner. Daniels, a dynamic dual-threat quarterback, threw for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns and added 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns rushing in 2023.

Pick No. 3 (New England Patriots)

Mel Kiper Jr., Josh Edwards: UNC QB Drake Maye

The first disagreement between the "experts" this week. Maye is still raw, with just two years of starting experience. But he has been impressive, passing for 7,929 yards, 62 touchdowns and 16 interceptions from 2022-23. Maye could help lead the Patriots new era under head coach Jerod Mayo.

Tony Catalina: Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr.

Catalina believes New England will "take the best pure football player in the class" if it doesn't love the remaining quarterbacks enough. The Patriots have struggled to draft the position for years. Harrison Jr., who had 144 catches for 2,474 yards and 28 touchdowns for Ohio State from 2022-23, could be the No. 1 wide receiver they've lacked.

Pick No. 4 (Arizona Cardinals)

Mel Kiper Jr., Josh Edwards: Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr.

This is the ideal scenario for the Cardinals, who would get the steal of the draft. Harrison Jr., who has drawn comparisons to Cardinals legend Larry Fitzgerald, would be the No. 1 receiver QB Kyler Murray's has been missing.

Tony Catalina: LSU WR Malik Nabers

With Harrison Jr. off the board, Arizona selects Nabers instead. Washington's Rome Odunze could also be a viable pick here. But this time, the Cardinals go with Nabers, who had 89 receptions for 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2023.

Pick No. 5 (Los Angeles Chargers)

Mel Kiper Jr., Josh Edwards: Georgia TE Brock Bowers

The Chargers need a playmaking tight end with veteran Gerald Everett set to become a free agent. Bowers would be that and then some after posting 175 catches for 2,538 yards and 26 touchdowns catches from 2021-23.

Tony Catalina: Notre Dame tackle Joe Alt

Los Angeles could very well add to QB Justin Herbert's arsenal, but it could make protecting Herbert — who missed the final four games of the season with an injury — its top priority. New head coach Jim Harbaugh is bringing a different attitude to the team in 2024. Alt, who allowed just four sacks in his collegiate career, would be a statement pick.

Players on the rise

Mel Kiper Jr.: Michigan QB J.J. McCarthy (Pick No. 16 to Seattle Seahawks)

Josh Edwards: Michigan QB J.J. McCarthy (Pick No. 13 to Las Vegas Raiders)

McCarthy led the Wolverines to a national championship in early January. The 21-year-old, who threw for 2,991 yards, 22 touchdowns and only four interceptions in 2023, recently declared for the NFL Draft. He is the sixth-best quarterback and No. 57 overall prospect on Pro Football Focus' big board but may just end up as a first-rounder.

Tony Catalina: LSU QB Jayden Daniels (Pick No. 2 to Washington Commanders)

Many believe Maye is the consensus No. 2 pick, but Daniels had the better 2023 season. It isn't a massive jump from No. 3, but Daniels is giving Maye a run for his money, which isn't something a lot of people predicted to begin the season.

Players falling

Mel Kiper Jr.: Washington WR Rome Odunze (Pick No. 9 to Chicago Bears)

Josh Edwards: Odunze (Pick No. 14 to New Orleans Saints)

Odunze has been projected to go as high as pick No. 5 to the Los Angeles Chargers, but some "experts" believe he's flirting with a top-10 fallout. If that's the case, Odunze could turn out to be the steal of the draft. He totaled 167 catches for 2,785 yards and 20 touchdowns from 2022-23.

Tony Catalina: Georgia TE Brock Bowers (Pick No. 13 to Las Vegas Raiders)

Bowers is arguably the best tight end prospect since Kyle Pitts, who was the No. 4 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Bowers is Pro Football Focus' best tight end and No. 6 overall prospect.

Surprise picks

Tony Catalina: Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr. (Pick No. 3 to New England Patriots)

Harrison Jr. is going to be a home-run pick by the team that selects him. But it is difficult to see the Patriots going into the 2024 season with Mac Jones as their starting quarterback once again. New England may not get the best or second-best quarterback on its draft board, but the team must take a shot at finding its next franchise QB.

Tony Catalina: Georgia TE Brock Bowers (Pick No. 13 to Las Vegas Raiders)

Not only is it unlikely that Bowers will fall out of the top 10, but it is unlikely the Raiders would use their first-round pick on a tight end. In 2023, Las Vegas drafted TE Michael Mayer with the No. 35 pick and it has much more important position to fill: quarterback.
