Watch: Photographer pegged by Trevor Siemian pass
New York Jets QB Trevor Siemian Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports

Sunday’s game between the New York Jets and Washington Commanders turned out to be a painful one for a photographer working behind the end zone.

In video that quickly went viral, the photographer was drilled in the head by an overthrown Trevor Siemian pass during the second quarter of Sunday’s game. He didn’t actually seem any worse for wear as painful as it looked.

Working on the sideline in any capacity can be a very hazardous job for this exact reason. The cameraman probably hoped that someone would have deflected that ball, as there were certainly more than enough players in the area for that to happen.

As bad as it is to get drilled in the head, the photographer can be thankful. There are a lot worse places to get hit.
