Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

The New England Patriots found some solace on Sunday Night Football as the team finally registered a win. Their fourth in the entire season. After 15 games, the team earned their much-needed fourth win. They have two more games to go and Bill Belichick wants to end the season on a winning note. ‘

The Patriots had a dramatic game against the Denver Broncos who has a 7-8 record after 15. It was Chad Ryland who ensured the win in the dying seconds of the game. With less than 10 seconds to go in the game, Ryland had the chance to score from a field goal. And he did that. The Broncos had a lead until then but the field goal turned the table in favor of the Patriots.

Ryland had a redemption in the game against the Broncos. He struggled throughout the season but that one game gave him the opportunity to change things and he stood strong. It is to be seen how he performs in the coming two games for the Patriots.

The Denver Broncos, on the other hand, lost the momentum that it gained halfway through the season. After a sluggish start in the league, the Broncos had a five-match winning streak. From trailing 1-5 to moving onto 6-5, the Broncos regained some ground that they lost. However, in the last four games, they came back to square one. The team won only one out of their four.

Bill Belichick’s future remains with the New England Patriots uncertain

The New England Patriots have faced the worst this season. They will finish the season with less than seven wins for the first time since the year 2000. In addition, they will succumb to consecutive second-losing seasons. With these records, the team may complete the golden handshake with Bill Belichick, the six-time Super Bowl winner.

Though the owner and Belichick both remained skeptical of this question and dodged it quite successfully, speculations are galloping high. Belichick’s coaching decisions have raised multiple controversies this season. He was criticized by the analysts and even his own players also raised concerns about his coaching ability.

However, Belichick still enjoys the support of the former players. It is to be seen whether that factor helps him to save his job.
