Watch: Josh Allen throws dart to Stefon Diggs to set up game-winning field goal

It was not pretty, but Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills did just enough to get a 28-25 win over the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving.

It was this absolute rocket of a pass from Allen in the closing seconds to Stefon Diggs to help set-up Tyler Bass' game-winning field goal.

Allen had some rough moments on Thursday, including another red zone interception and some missed throws, but he came through in the end when the Bills needed it. That pass to Diggs came on the first play after Detroit kicked a game-tying field goal that appeared likely to send the game to overtime. But Allen and the Bills were having none of that.

It is Buffalo's second win in a row, with both of them coming at Ford Field in Detroit. They beat Cleveland on Sunday in Detroit after that game was moved to a massive blizzard that blanketed Buffalo over the weekend.

The Bills also got some assistance in this game from a missed chip shot field goal by Detroit earlier in the second half, and some utterly bizarre clock management by the Lions on their final drive. The Lions seemed almost determined to play for a field goal and overtime, letting more than a minute run off the clock will still possessing all three of their timeouts.

You can not leave Allen and the Bills any time because it only takes a one big play for them to beat you.
