Watch: Amon-Ra St. Brown torches Vikings defense for 70-yard TD

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was arguably this year’s biggest Pro Bowl snub.

The decision to leave the 24-year-old wideout off the NFC’s roster looks even more foolish after his performance in Sunday’s matchup with the Minnesota Vikings in which St. Brown torched their defense for a 70-yard touchdown on the opening play of the fourth quarter.

St. Brown’s catch put the Lions ahead 27-13 and it was their longest pass play of the season. It was also the longest reception of St. Brown’s career (prior to Sunday his longest reception was 49 yards).

At time of publication, St. Brown had seven receptions for 144 yards and the score, marking the fourth straight game in which he recorded a touchdown catch and it was his ninth 100-yard game of the year — the most in the NFL.

It was also St. Brown’s 10th touchdown reception of the season, moving him into a four-way tie with teammate Sam LaPorta, Denver Broncos receiver Courtland Sutton and Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb for the third-most in the league.

St. Brown entered Week 18 ranked second in receptions (112), third in first downs via reception (70), fifth in receiving yards (1,371), seventh in receptions of 20 yards or more (22) and eighth in yards after the catch (586).
