Troy Hill's pick-6 against the Miami Dolphins may have earned him an unexpected prize
USA TODAY Sports

Coaches always say play to the whistle for a reason.

With the fourth quarter winding down in the Carolina Panthers' 42-21 loss to the Miami Dolphins, cornerback Troy Hill was able to jump the route on a Dolphins backup quarterback Mike White pass.

The result was a 61-yard pick-6, which made things interesting in a game that was decided well after the fourth quarter started.

It is the second pick-6 of the season for the Panthers defense. And the play may have earned Hill a pretty nice prize.

Two weeks ago, Sam Franklin Jr. nabbed himself a pick-6. That one registered as a 99-yarder. But following the game, Franklin was given a case of wine by linebacker Deion Jones.

That interception was Franklin's first interception of his career.

It is safe to expect that Hill may have just earned himself his own case by nabbing his first interception as well.

Playing to the whistle has its perks. Hill now knows that first-hand.
