Trevon Diggs reacts to brother Stefon's trade to Houston Texans

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs finally got his wish, although it wasn’t exactly what – or where – he wanted.

Diggs’ older brother, Stefon Diggs, a four-time Pro Bowl and two-time All-Pro wide receiver, was traded from the Buffalo Bills to the Houston Texans on Wednesday in exchange for a 2024 second-round pick. The Texans also netted two late-round picks in the deal.

Once the news broke, the younger Diggs took to X and fired off a series of posts seemingly approving of his brother finally parting ways with a team that he spent the last few offseasons taking shots at over social media.

Diggs joins a loaded Texans wide receiver room that also features Nico Collins (80 receptions, 1,297 yards, eight touchdowns in 2023) and Tank Dell (47 receptions, 709 yards, seven touchdowns in 2023), giving them one of – if not the top – trio of pass catchers in the AFC.

The move comes four and a half months after his younger brother posted on social media that the veteran star desperately needed to get out of Buffalo.

The 25-year-old star cornerback had advocated for his brother to join in on the Cowboys and though that didn’t happen, his brother and he are both now residents of the Lone Star state.

Things had been rocky between Diggs and the Bills each of the last two offseasons. The star wideout made it known he wasn’t happy with Buffalo’s early playoff exits and hinted in several social media posts that he wanted out of town.

The final straw likely came when Diggs wrote, “You sure?” in response to a fan saying a top-tier receiver wasn’t vital to quarterback Josh Allen’s success. While both Diggs and Allen have maintained publicly there is no bad blood between the two, it sure seems like that’s not the case.

In four seasons with Buffalo, Diggs totaled 445 catches, 5,372 yards and 37 touchdowns. He never had fewer than 100 receptions, 1,180 yards or eight touchdowns in any season in a Bills uniform.
