Trevon Diggs Pens Letter To Dallas Cowboys Fans After Tragic Injury Ends His Season
Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Dallas Cowboys star cornerback Trevon Diggs penned a letter to fans after suffering a season-ending ACL injury Thursday afternoon at practice. Diggs sustained the injury during a 1-on-1 drill during practice, and he was seen leaving practice on crutches before undergoing an MRI to confirm the injury.

Losing Diggs will be huge for the elite Dallas defense. The Cowboys are 2-0 and seemed to be one of the best teams in the league to start the season. The All-Pro defender intercepted a pass from Zach Wilson in the Cowboys’ win over the New York Jets in Week 2.

Trevon Diggs thanks Dallas Cowboys fans for their support

Diggs took to social media to send a message to Cowboys’ fans after his injury news became public. He wrote on his X account that he appreciated their support.

“Thank you for all the prayers and I appreciate everyone for checking on me! This is just God’s Plan. I will be back and better,” Diggs wrote.

Diggs will be back, and he’ll be playing for the Cowboys for years to come. In July, he signed a five-year deal with $97 million that will keep Diggs a Cowboys cornerback through the 2028 season.
