Titans QB Ryan Tannehill dodges questions about three-INT day vs. Saints

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill didn't have his best day in the Tennessee Titans' 16-15 Week 1 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, but he wasn't in the mood to revisit his mistakes after the game.

When asked to talk about his three-interception outing, Tannehill dodged the question.

"I'm not going to get into all the interceptions and what caused them all," Tannehill told Turron Davenport of ESPN. "But, at the end of the day, you got to clean them up and eliminate them."

Titans head coach Mike Vrabel responded similarly, refusing to blame Sunday's loss on one player. While frustrated, Vrabel responded, "It's never going to be about one guy," when asked about Tannehill's struggles.

Things didn't go well for Tannehill from the jump Sunday. The veteran was 5-of-14 for 83 yards with one interception in the first half alone. And it didn't get better in the second half, with Tannehill finishing the day 16-of-34 for 198 yards (5.8 yards per reception) and three picks.

Per Jeff Duncan of The Times-Picayune, Tannehill's 28.8 passer rating against the Saints was the lowest of his 10-year career.

On top of his three turnovers, Tannehill also missed several would-be touchdowns, including a failed connection with Chigoziem Okonkwo, which should have been an easy 53-yard score.

Tannehill said he felt comfortable and prepared to play on Sunday. But he's seemingly ready to turn the page, chalking it up as a bad game.

"Just didn't come out and play well, obviously," Tannehill said. "Not happy with the way I performed and there's a lot of room to grow there. Excited to get back to work and be ready to go next week."
