The Houston Texans hosted wide receiver Chester Rogers for a workout on Monday night, Adam Schefter reported.
Former Colts’ and Titans’ wide receiver Chester Rogers, who has drawn interest from multiple teams, is visiting the Texans tonight, per source.

Several teams have interest in the 28-year-old veteran, according to Schefter. That said, there could be a few visits for Rogers elsewhere before he signs to a team.
The Texans are a stop on the list for him, however. That, at least, signals some interest in the team by Rogers.
In fairness, playing for the Texans makes perfect sense for the veteran wideout. Rogers played his entire career in the AFC South, he’s just missing the Texans and the Jaguars to complete the divisional quartet.
As a rookie, Rogers was merely getting his feet wet in the NFL. He had just 19 receptions for 273 yards in his first year. However, the statistics show an interesting trend: He did a majority of his work against the AFC South.
In the six divisional games he played as a rookie, Rogers had 13 of his 19 catches in those games. Subsequently, one could expect most of his yards to come from those affairs too. Well, that is exactly the case; Rogers had 225 of his 273 yards in those games.
His third year, the final one with Andrew Luck, was his most productive campaign as a Colt by a mile. Rogers had the most targets (72), catches (53) and yards (485) in his career.
Rogers was not a flashy player by any means, but he got the job done, especially in the division.
He finished his Colts tenure with 50 catches and 604 yards against divisional foes.
Rogers’ trend of good play against the AFC South petered out in his lone year on the Tennessee Titans in 2021.
Only nine of his 30 catches came against divisional foes. Subsequently, his yardage was low in those games, too; to be exact, Rogers had 90 yards against the division.
However, that trend was due for a decline since the Titans ran the ball so often, the team was the second highest in the league.
If signed, Rogers could be a soothing presence for the Texans. The team lost John Metchie for likely the entire year due to his cancer diagnosis.
Chester Rogers had 301 yards and 30 catches and 1 TD off 43 targets with the Tennessee Titans last season.
He spent 78% of his snaps at slot receiver in 2021 and fits the mold at 6'0" and 184 lbs. Could potentially stick since Metchie is out for the season #WeAreTexans https://t.co/ZRoLA7969S

The Texans could use a veteran slot guy to help put young quarterback Davis Mills at ease. Rogers’ presence could do that for Mills.
Additionally, his hot streak against the AFC South likely continues since the Texans passed the ball significantly more than the Titans did last year.
Rogers has played 29 games against the division. In those games, 41% of his career receptions and 46% of his receptions came from divisional opponents.
So, in addition to being a calm presence, Rogers could continue to be a menace to the AFC South.
