Report: Steelers' Elandon Roberts to play vs. Patriots despite groin injury
Philip G. Pavely-USA TODAY Sports

Elandon Roberts is as tough as they come in the NFL.

An old-school linebacker not only in his playstyle but in his demeanor, Roberts embodies what it means to be a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers

And following some late breaking news, his legend will only grow in the black and gold:

Somehow, Someway, He'll play:

As Wolfe said in his report of Roberts' status, the Steelers will be getting a huge boost with their defensive signal caller, green dot wearer, and leader back in the lineup.

During his weekly press conference, Steelers HC Mike Tomlin said that Pittsburgh essentially lost two quarterbacks on Sunday, with Kenny Pickett going down with an ankle injury that required surgery and Roberts unable to finish the game with his groin.

Not only is Roberts the team's leading tackler, he is responsible for aligning the defense and calling the signals, analogous to what a QB does for the offense.

So we'll see how effective Roberts is just three days removed from a game-ending lower-body injury, but his availability is a positive nonetheless.
