Jacoby Brissett is on the move once again, signing a one-year deal with the New England Patriots, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. The deal is worth $8 million, per the report.
The move to New England marks his fifth team in five seasons, most recently playing for the Washington Commanders during the 2023 season. He made three appearances for Washington last year, his lowest since his rookie season — with the Patriots, who drafted him in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
He’s had four 1,000-plus-yard passing seasons for the Indianapolis Colts (2017, 2019) Miami Dolphins (2021) and Cleveland Browns (2022). On his career, he’s thrown 10,574 yards over eight seasons in the NFL.
