Report: Kyler Murray has regret over social media scrub

Kyler Murray appeared to be trying to send a message by scrubbing all references to the Arizona Cardinals on his social media profiles. Whatever that message was clearly did not work, and it sounds like Murray knows it.

Murray regrets the drama created by his social media activity, according to radio host John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 in Phoenix. The Arizona quarterback is reportedly displeased that the back-and-forth between himself and the organization became a major story.

“I’ve heard talking to a whole bunch of different people that he definitely regrets that this all came out,” Gambadoro told Arizona Sports’ Wolf & Luke on Wednesday. “So I do believe that it was a mistake. I think he believes that it was a mistake that all of this came out and they’ve got to move on.”

Murray may have been trying to send a message, but he may not have anticipated that the Cardinals would send some messages of their own. The quarterback probably wasn’t banking on some unflattering reports about him appearing in the media as all this played out.

Murray already released a statement indicating he was moving on from the drama. Perhaps he learned a lesson about calling his team’s bluff, at least in public.
