Report: CB Prince Amukamara has deal with Arizona Cardinals

According to ESPN's Dan Graziano (h/t Josh Weinfuss), veteran cornerback Prince Amukamara has an agreement to join the Arizona Cardinals pending the results of a coronavirus test.

Because it is so late in the week, the 31-year-old likely won't be available for Sunday's game against the New York Jets. Amukamara could, however, suit up for the Oct. 19 "Monday Night Football" contest versus the Dallas Cowboys.

The Las Vegas Raiders released Amukamara on the final day of August, and he remained unsigned through the start of the first full week of October. He spent the last three seasons with the Chicago Bears, where he tallied three interceptions during the 2018 campaign. Throughout his tenure with the Bears, he accumulated 29 passes defended, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and a defensive score.

The New York Giants drafted Amukamara 19th overall in 2011, and he was part of the Big Blue squad that downed the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI. He joined the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2016 and then made the move to Chicago the following year.

Arizona cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick is carrying a calf injury into Sunday's contest against Gang Green. The Cardinals begin Week 5 allowing 237.5 passing yards and 23.0 points per game.
