Ravens make roster moves ahead of matchup with Steelers
Kareem Elgazzar-USA TODAY Sports

As the Baltimore Ravens prepare for their Week 5 contest in Pittsburgh, they have made a couple of roster moves.

Safety Daryl Worley is being placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury. Worley’s placement on the IR will mean he will miss at least four games. The veteran safety has seven tackles and one pass defense in four games this season.

Running back Kenyan Drake and wide receiver Laquon Treadwell will join the 53-man roster. The latter two moves could be telling as to who may or may not be available on Sunday.

The Ravens currently have four players on the injury report who are questionable. Two of which play the positions of Drake and Treadwell, Odell Beckham Jr. and Justice Hill. By elevating Drake and Treadwell, the Ravens have an insurance policy in case they are unable to go.

This is Drake’s second season in Baltimore, rushing for 482 yards and four touchdowns last season. The 29-year-old back has just one rush attempt for the Ravens this season.

Treadwell has appeared in one game for Baltimore this year, playing 17 offensive snaps on offense and 18 on special teams. This is Treadwell’s fifth team in the past five seasons, as he has not been able to live up to being a first-round pick of the Minnesota Vikings in 2016.
