Projecting the Packers' 2022 record

The Green Bay Packers have won the NFC North each of the last three seasons with head coach Matt LaFleur at the helm. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has won back-to-back MVPs. Is there any reason to believe the Packers won't win the division yet again?

They used their two first-round draft picks on national champion defenders in Quay Walker and Devonte Wyatt. Those players add to an already elite defense that is home to Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark, All-Pro linebacker De'Vondre Campbell and All-Pro cornerback Jaire Alexander.

Green Bay has an elite running back duo in Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon, and while the losses of All-Pro receiver Davante Adams and speedster Marquez Valdes-Scantling are nothing to scoff at, Green Bay added four new receivers, including veteran Sammy Watkins and talented rookie Christian Watson.

With that said, what will Green Bay's record be at the end of the 2022 regular season?

Look for the Packers to dominate the NFC North once again. They may slip up once on the road to the Vikings, but they will sweep both the Bears and the Lions. A 5-1 divisional record sounds just right for this elite team.

This particular season, Green Bay will face the NFC East and the AFC East, along with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Los Angeles Rams. LaFleur's team should beat playoff-likely teams in New England, Philadelphia, Dallas, Tennessee and Miami. Green Bay also should dominate both New York teams and Washington.

However, the Pack will face Super Bowl tests in Buffalo, Tampa and Los Angeles. Expect close wins against Tampa and Los Angeles, which means Green Bay should be the Super Bowl favorite in the NFC. However, don't surprised if the Pack lose a shootout in Buffalo to a great Bills team.

That is right. The Green Bay Packers are going to go 15-2 this season. They have the best quarterback in the league, the best running back duo in the league, an elite defense and a much-improved special teams unit, which was what caused Green Bay's demise last season. After winning 13 games each of the last three seasons, this team is ready to win a Super Bowl right now. At their best, the Packers are the top team in the NFC and arguably the best in the league.
