Panthers Reconstruct Austin Corbett's Contract
USA TODAY Sports

The Carolina Panthers were roughly $9 million over the salary cap entering the day. But the front office will move money around to get out of the hole and free up space to sign guys in free agency.

On Friday, the Panthers restructured starting right guard Austin Corbett's contract, clearing up approximately $6 million in cap space.

Corbett started all 17 games for the Panthers but had an unfortunate end to the season in the win over New Orleans, suffering a torn ACL. Recently, he took to Twitter to announce that his surgery was successful and is set to begin rehabbing very soon.

The expectation is that Corbett will be ready for the start of the 2023 season.
