Panthers OL Austin Corbett indicates he could return to game action soon
USA TODAY Sports

Carolina Panthers offensive lineman Austin Corbett returned to practice Wednesday.

During the first four weeks of the NFL season, Corbett was on the the reserve and physically unable to perform list due to his recovery from a torn ACL, now he has a 21-day window to return to the active roster.

He will use the three-week period to get in shape, he said. And from that point, he will see how he feels about playing.

“I’m in great shape from all the training and stuff we’re doin’ inside the bubble,” he told reporters. “But, you start hittin’ somebody again, that’s gonna be like training camp just getting the body [acclimated].

“So, we’ll figure it out. We got these next couple weeks, and we’ll figure it out after the bye and kinda see where we’re at from there.”

His return is a welcomed event for Bryce Young, who has spent a good portion of his first three starts attempting under duress from pass rushers.

The Panthers have matchups against the Detroit Lions and the Miami Dolphins before a bye week gives the team some much-needed reprieve.
