Could a reunion with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots be in the works a few months after Bill Belichick vacated the premises? Brady invited speculation about the possibility that he could unretire this season to join a team in need of a quarterback.

Brady announced his plans to retire a second time following the Tampa Bay Buccaneers loss in the playoffs after the 2022 season. He took a year off from football before he’s set to make big bucks in the broadcast booth for the 2024 season. He’s also “on track” to become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Tom Brady is open to joining the New England Patriots

Per a viral clip of Brady on the Deep Cut Podcast, Brady said he would be open to signing with a team in the upcoming season if it didn’t affect his potential ownership stake in the Raiders. Brady specifically mentioned the Raiders and Patriots as teams he’d be interested in joining if they needed quarterback help.

Brady would play under his former teammate

Brady’s interest in joining the Patriots is notable. Although he didn’t leave the team on great terms following the 2019 season, Brady seems more open to the idea, with his former teammate Jerod Mayo running the show.

But would Mayo be open to the idea?

The Patriots need help quarterback for the upcoming season. The team is expected to take a quarterback with the No. 3 pick in April’s draft. They could have a chance to do what the San Francisco 49ers wanted to do last season and have a young quarterback learn under Brady for a season.
