New England Patriots Head Coach Expresses Doubt About His Future
Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

The New England Patriots are coming off a very impressive win against the Denver Broncos this past week coming on the last second field goal from Chad Ryland. The Patriots fan base have different feelings about the win as it makes the hopes of getting one of the star quarterbacks in the draft a bit harder now, but head coach Bill Belichick and the New England players aren’t worried about that at all.

Belichick specifically, may definitely not be worried about that at all as he may not be the coach next year after decades with the team and six Super Bowls. There have been many reports that have come out this week that the historic coach is expressing doubt to many of the staff about his future with the team, and while things are still up in the air, there have been too many reports for this to not be a story. Where there is smoke there is fire.

Belichick has the Patriots defense playing very well without their top two defenders, their offense however, has been one of, if not the worst in the league. This is why so many patriot fans are praying for a quarterback. They need much more help than just that position on the offense but that would be a great start.

Will Bill Belichick Be The Head Coach Of The New England Patriots Next Year?

There have been a flurry of reports coming out this week about how the legendary head coach is very uncertain about his future with the team. This is nothing new as many reports have been coming out all year that his time in New England is coming to end, but the difference here is that now it is apparently coming out of his own mouth to the staff.

In a recent CBS Sports article by Tyler Sullivan, he reports that there are many telling signs that the head coach is going to leave next year although you never know until it happens. He writes saying:

“Belichick has expressed doubt about his future in New England to his staff at various points over the last few weeks, according to the Boston Sports Journal. The report adds that the head coach has yet to sit down with ownership to discuss what the future may bring once the 2023 campaign officially comes to a close. “

While nothing is close to official yet all signs are indicating that something is going on with the Patriots and that big changes are coming. As things stand now, they sit with the fourth pick of the draft and should have the opportunity to draft a high level prospect at quarterback, but will there be another head coach there or will Bill start over with a new quarterback for the Patriots next year?
