National media outlet names the Buffalo Bills' most ideal pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft

The 2024 NFL Draft is set to get underway on Thursday night.

On Tuesday, CBS Sports named each NFL team's ideal selection in the first round of the draft.

And for the Buffalo Bills, they believe that the ideal selection would be LSU Tigers wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr.

From CBS Sports: The Buffalo Bills desperately need a new top wide receiver after trading Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans. Brian Thomas Jr. is one of the best in this class at going deep (17.3 yards per reception in 2023), and he led college football in touchdown catches last season (17). Thomas would be a fantastic fit for quarterback Josh Allen's downfield passing.

The Bills should definitely be targeting a wide receiver in the first round after trading Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans earlier this offseason.

Unfortunately for Buffalo, there's no guarantee that Thomas, or another perceived "top wide receiver", will fall to them at the end of the first round.

Perhaps the Bills could decide to trade up if there's a run on wide receivers. Or maybe they'll be content to take a best player available approach.

Either way, if Thomas is there at No. 28, he's absolutely a player the Bills should consider taking. The Louisiana native had a breakout season in Baton Rouge last year, catching 68 passes for 1,177 yards and 17 touchdowns.
