The Rams included special teams coordinator Joe DeCamillis in their staff that was fired at the end of the season. On Tuesday, the Rams hired a new special teams coordinator with experience.
According to Mike Garafolo with the NFL Network, McVary chose Chase Blackburn as the Rams’ next special teams coordinator.

Blackburn was an undrafted free agent who went on to play for the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers. Blackburn was the Panthers’ special teams coordinator from 2018-21. When he was fired following the 2021 season, Blackburn took the assistant special teams coach job with the Tennessee Titans.
Blackburn will have his work cut out from him in Los Angeles. According to Rick Gosselin, the Rams were ranked 29th in special teams for the 2022 season.
