LB Cory Littleton Leaves Carolina in Free Agency
USA TODAY Sports

Free agent veteran linebacker Cory Littleton is signing a one-year deal with the Houston Texans, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston.

Littleton spent one year with the Carolina Panthers, primarily serving as the backup to Shaq Thompson at the SAM. In 15 games (seven starts), Littleton totaled 47 tackles, two QB hits, two pass breakups, one tackle for loss, and 0.5 sacks. He appeared in just 36% of the team's defensive snaps but was a factor on special teams appearing in 70% of all special teams snaps.

The Panthers have yet to make any additions to the linebacker room this offseason but did restructure the contract of veteran Shaq Thompson, keeping him in Carolina for the next two seasons. GM Scott Fitterer stated earlier this week that the team could look to add an inside backer in next month's draft.
