LA Requests Interview With Eagles Coach for OC Position
USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Chargers have their head coach and defensive coordinator, so now the search is on for their offensive coordinator, after former offensive coordinator Kellen Moore left to become the Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator. New coach Jim Harbaugh brought in his Michigan defensive coordinator Jesse Minter to the Chargers, but they are still interviewing potential offensive coordinators.

One candidate is Marcus Brady, who the Chargers have requested an interview with, via ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Brady is currently the Eagles senior offensive assistant, a promotion from when he was the Eagles offensive consultant in 2022. Prior to joining the Eagles staff in 2022, Brady initially began his coaching career in the Canadian Football League, working as a position coach and then an offensive coordinator. As a CFL wide receivers coach and then offensive coordinator, Brady helped his teams win three Grey Cups.

He then joined the Indianapolis Colts staff in 2018 as an assistant quarterbacks coach before moving up to the quarterbacks coach and their offensive coordinator before he was fired midseason in 2022.

Brady has previously worked with Andrew Luck and Jalen Hurts, and would get the opportunity to work with Justin Herbert if he were selected as the Chargers offensive coordinator.

The Chargers ultimately want an offensive staff and coordinator who will help maximize Herbert and the offense's potential. Despite some big name players, the Chargers offense fell dropped significantly in total and passing yards per game in 2023, especially in passing yards where they ranked third in 2022.
