Kurt Warner’s Son, Kade, Lands With Tampa Bay Buccaneers
USA TODAY Sports

Kade Warner -- the son of Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner -- wasn't selected during the 2023 NFL Draft. But, he'll get a shot to compete for a roster spot this summer

Per Rick Stroud of The Tampa Bay Times, the Buccaneers have signed Kade, a wide receiver who split his collegiate career between Nebraska and Kansas State. Kade is 6-foot-1, 205 pounds, and had 46 catches for 456 yards and five touchdowns in his final season at Kansas State.

The younger Warner will join a wide receiving corps that has two entrenched stars in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, but not a ton in the way of consistent production behind them. Tampa Bay will have a new offensive coordinator in Dave Canales in 2023. Oh, and Tom Brady retired -- seemingly for real this time -- so Baker Mayfield and/or Kyle Trask will quarterback the team this upcoming season.

Kurt, the elder Warner, didn't get a chance to play extensively in the NFL until his age-28 season. All he did from there was win two NFL MVPs and lead the then-St. Louis Rams to two NFC titles and hoisted the Lombardi Trophy after a victory in Super Bowl XXXIV.
