Jets RB Breece Hall Sends Massive Warning To NFL Before Week 18
Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

New York Jets running back Breece Hall has shown in his first two seasons in the NFL that he is one of the best players at his position. He is an incredibly talented dual-threat player out of the backfield, as dangerous as a runner or pass catcher.

Despite that talent, Hall was not selected as one of the running backs to take part in the Pro Bowl this season. After tearing his ACL in Week 7 last year against the Denver Broncos, Hall was on a pitch count to start the season.

However, by Week 5, in another matchup with the Broncos, he had taken over the backfield as the clear lead back. What hurt his Pro Bowl chances was a drought in the middle of the season in which he failed to gain more than 50 yards in nine straight games on the ground.

While running lanes were impossible to come by, Hall still made an impact with his receiving ability. During that nine-game stretch, he caught at least three passes in all but one of the games and scored three touchdowns.

The snub is something that isn’t sitting well with Hall, as he took to social media to issue a major warning to the rest of the NFL before the Jets’ season finale. He is motivated and has set some lofty goals for the 2024 season.

“Telling yall now. 2024: I will be a Top RB, I will be in the Pro Bowl, [and] I will be an All-Pro. And it will continue years after that,” Hall wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Hall certainly has the talent to achieve the goals he has set. Despite running behind one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL in 2023 and the Jets’ quarterback situation being a disaster, he remained productive.

In 16 games, Hall ran the ball 186 times for 815 yards with four touchdowns and a league-leading long rush of 83 yards. He added 74 receptions for 579 yards and four more scores in a very productive 2023 campaign.

Moving forward, Hall is going to be the centerpiece of this Jets offensive attack along with wide receiver Garrett Wilson. If the team can figure things out in the trenches and have Aaron Rodgers back healthy, this group will soar up the offensive rankings in 2024.
