The 2022 NFL Draft is now just two days away and on Tuesday, the New York Jets reportedly exercised the fifth-year option on one of their most recent first-round picks.
The Jets have picked up DT Quinnen Williams' fifth-year option for 2023, per source. So he's locked in on fully-guaranteed money the next two years.

Williams was selected by the Jets as the third overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Alabama and has played in 41 career games thus far, starting 37 of them. After recording 28 tackles and 2.5 sacks as a rookie, Williams set career highs in tackles (55), quarterback hits (14), tackles for loss (10) and sacks (7.0), while picking up his only two career forced fumbles in 2020.
The 24-year-old started and played in 15 games in 2021, registering 53 tackles, 12 quarterback hits, 6.0 sacks and tying for his career-best mark of three passes defended.
