Jerricho Cotchery Lands College Head Coaching Job
USA TODAY Sports

Wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery spent twelve years in the NFL, playing his last two with the Carolina Panthers in 2014 and 2015. In the team's run to the Super Bowl, Cotchery logged 39 receptions for 485 yards and three touchdowns.

After taking some time off, Cotchery returned to the Panthers' organization to serve as an assistant wide receivers coach on Ron Rivera's staff for three seasons. In 2022, he went down to the college level as he was hired to be the assistant head coach and wide receivers head coach at Limestone University - a Division II school in Gaffney, South Carolina.

Earlier this week, the former Panther was promoted, becoming the new head coach at Limestone.

“We are extremely excited to have Jerricho as our new head football coach,” said Limestone’s Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Hailey Martin in the news release. “He is so well liked and respected by our student-athletes and coaches. From coaching with the Carolina Panthers to a remarkable 12-year NFL playing career with three different teams and a Super Bowl appearance, Jerricho has brought a wealth of knowledge to our program, and we are thrilled to have him guiding our Saints forward. We cannot say enough wonderful things about what Coach Furrey did for Limestone football and we wish him nothing but the very best as he enters the next chapter of his career.”
