Jaguars' Evan Engram breaks multiple franchise records vs. Browns
Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns was not the prettiest one we have seen. The offense was ugly and failed to get anything going consistently, and outside of the three forced turnovers by the Jacksonville Jaguars defense, the unit didn't play very well.

While there hasn't been one to cheer about against the Browns, even though the Jaguars kept it a game going into the fourth quarter, there were still some really cool and positive things happening, just with one player in particular.

Evan Engram, who has shown that he is one of the best tight ends in the league now, is showing that the extension he received this offseason was worth it. Engram was franchise-tagged by the Jaguars but received a long-term deal this offseason, and after breaking the franchise record for catches by a tight end in 2022, he broke two more records in 2023.

Here is what the Jaguars' PR team tweeted out about Engram's crazy game:

Evan Engram has recorded five receptions for 55 yards and one touchdown in the first half of today's matchup. His 78 receptions so far this season set a new single-season franchise record among tight ends, breaking the previous record he set last season of 73 receptions. Additionally, Engram's 661 yards through Week 14 this season is the most among tight ends in franchise history.

Not only did Engram break the record last season of any Jaguars tight end, but he also broke his previous record this year. He has had a wonderful year despite the season the Jaguars' offense is having as a whole.

The Jaguars may have gotten beat pretty badly on Sunday, but Engram showed that he could do what the team needed of him. We don't like moral victories, but with a loss as bad as the one the Jaguars took, you may as well take one.
